1FR1027 First day of the con. Figured I should get a couple views of the stage while it's 2FR1028 Left side of stage. Nice gold cat. 3FR1029 Right side of the stage. Enjoy the cats because I never again got close enough to see them. 4FR1030 Andrew Jackson (Tok'ra High Councillor Per'sus) opens the convention with a story about why he's running late. Apparently he was delayed backstage while they found someone to loan him a pair of pants to replace the ones whose zipper he had just busted through. 5FR1031 Andrew was supposed to be joined by Colin Cunningham but Colin was off filming a movie instead. Unfazed, Andrew entertained the crowd with a myriad of voices. He's a great impersonator and sound effects generator. 6FR1031a The case Andrew is holding contains his, 6FR0641000-3 Good thing nobody could save seats, huh? 6FR641000-4 It's kind of weird to travel 1200 miles to watch someone on television... 7FR1032 Next panel, from left: Brent Stait (Major Ferretti), Jan Newman (SG-1 makeup artist), Andrew Kavadas (Olaf from 8FR1033 Dougie adjusts his kilt while fellow panelists desperately look for a question to answer. ;-) 9FR1034 Jan Newman was RDA's makeup artist from MacGyver and he brought her along to Stargate SG-1. 10FR1035 Yay!!!!! Teryl was the one I most looked forward to seeing on the Friday schedule and she absolutely exceeded my expectations. Love this woman. 11FR1036 Teryl is such a good sport! She vamps and poses for the crowd so that we got good pictures. 12FR1037 A rare moment: Teryl onstage, where novice con organizers expect her to be. 12FR0641000-8 She's much more likely to run out into the audience and interact personally with fans. Teryl is vivacious and has an amazing memory for fans she has met in the past, truly remembering people and caring about how they're doing. This is the best of a series of lousy shots I got but I just had to have one of her out and about in the album.
